Jan brings more than 35 years of experience in Los Angeles as a keyboard player, singer, songwriter, and arranger. In her years of live stage experience, she has performed hundreds of high-profile gigs as singer and/or keyboard player at venues like the Hollywood Bowl and Greek Theater. She has been a featured singer at the Governor’s Ball for the Oscars and the Emmys 6 times.
Her music directing career launched with the full-scale production of her own original rock opera, "Jerusalem A.D." (2002-2006). In 2010 the L.A. Weekly Theater Awards nominated her for Best Musical Director for her work in Godspell at the Knightsbridge Theatre in Los Angeles. In 2013 she composed and music directed a one-woman show on the Broadway career of Lane Bradbury (the original Dainty Rose in Gypsy). Jan participated in the NYMF Songwriting Workshop in 2015. Jan has music directed for Music Theatre Guild, Open Fist Theater, Panic Productions, Golden Performing Arts, Theatre 40, Hollywood Fringe, and Calabasas High School, to name a few.
Jan’s latest original musical, “City of Light” received a fully staged workshop production in the fall of 2014, and was one of three selected musicals for the prestigious ASCAP Workshop directed by Stephen Scwartz in February, 2015, and enjoyed 3 sold-out shows at the sheNYC Festival in New York City last July of 2017, winning the award for Best Score. She teaches at Coast Music and also serves as music director and worship leader at Church for the Nations in Glendale.
